I'd like to point out though that the IPsec VPN Client's been EOL'd years ago, so a compatibility will only get worse and worse and b using it exposes serious security problems. You really saved me from crash! Typically the VPN adapters don't show connected when they are not.

Has anyone gotten this client to install on 10? Sysfems had to do steps one and two and also the optional registry edit, and then my Cisco VPN Client works again on my Windows 10 machine. What worked for me was an uninstall of the previous client and running the install using compatibility for previous version of windows. I did not need the new edit at the bottom of the instructions.
