"Global Perspective Youth Sports is a non-profit, youth soccer organization based in Buckeye, Arizona. GPYS promotes fun, competition, mentoring, education, and opportunities to both lead and serve others. GPYS provides soccer clinics, taught by experienced and certified coaches, along with recreational and competitive soccer leagues and tournaments for small children, youth, and adults".

Hakeem Disu comes from a family that is known world-wide for their impeccable soccer skills! Disu played Major League soccer and competed at the Junior National Teams of Nigeria before relocating to the United States, where he played collegiate soccer  at Phoenix, Arizona's own Grand Canyon University. Additionally, Disu has extensive experience as a volunteer coach in the Phoenix area, instructing youth of all ages and skill levels.

In January of 2009, Hakeem Disu started Global Perspective Youth Sports, in order to serve the children of Buckeye, Arizona. Hakeem Disu brings extensive experience, impressive credentials and a resume that is filled with a history of volunteer service. GPY Sports is just what Buckeye - and Maricopa County - have been looking for. Finally, organized, team-oriented soccer has come to the Valley of the Sun, thanks to Hakeem Disu and the GPY Sports family of certified coaches.

Global Perspective Youth Sports lays the foundation, teaching basic skills and the importance of teamwork, while demonstrating that determination is necessary to succeed at any sport, and in life itself.
